There is such a huge choice of family fun activities in and around Waterford. Waterford’s parks & playgrounds are an ideal family day out or why not spend a day at one of our impressive beaches? Mini T’s Kids Club
At Treacys Hotel, Waterford your children are guaranteed a fun-filled holiday.
We offer both morning and evening sessions in Mini T’s Kids Club with activities ranging from arts and craft, dancing, board games, air hockey, baking, playing games in the gym suite and much much more.
Our morning activities include our fun breakfast train, where the leaders collect the children from their rooms and have breakfast together at their own special table in the breakfast room, giving their parents a well-earned rest. After that, the children go to our specially designed Mini T’s Kid’s Club room for Activities and Arts & Crafts, with a wide range of fun crafts and games on offer each day.
Morning activities are available from 9am to 12 noon.
Our evening activities include Dinner, Arts & Crafts, Games and Movie Time.
PLEASE NOTE: Mini T’s Kids Club is a seasonal activity and is available during mid-term breaks and summer holidays. Days can vary so be sure to check with us on your specific dates. Mini T's Kids Club is subject to minimum numbers. In the event that we have fewer numbers than required, kids club may be canceled. Unfortunately, this is beyond our control and may occur without prior notice.
Our swimming pool is open 7 days a week for children. The hotel swimming pool is available for children use during the hours of 8am to 7.30pm daily.

Waterford Suir Valley Railway
Experience the beauty of the Suir Valley from a period carriage and take in the wonderful panoramic views of the River Suir. This family friendly railway runs mostly along the picturesque banks of the River Suir offering views of the world famous Mount Congreve Gardens.
Waterford City's newest and most innovative family recreation centre incorporating a children's soft play area, bowling, rock climbing and bouldering, an intimate state of the art 3D cinema, a cafe and lots more.
They are totally dedicated to this Ancient Sport of Kings. They adhere to a very high standard of Falconry and only use Practising Falconers for all our services. Hawkeye Falconry offers you the Bird of Prey experience of a lifetime.
Parks and Playgrounds
Waterford City has plenty of open spaces from the People’s Park in the centre of the City, to smaller parks scattered across the City which will be further enhanced by the opening of Waterford's Nature Park creating one of the largest urban parklands in the country.
There are a number of other public playgrounds in the City including the Railway Square Playground located on Manor Street.
Family Friendly Fun
Head to the beach with Oceanics Surf School in Tramore, and show off your surfing skills to the crowds!
This is a family friendly school and caters for complete beginners to pros in the making. Perfect for a family day out, it is bound to create some fantastic memories.
There are also other surf schools available, such as Tramore surf school, T-Bay surf, and Freedom Surf School.
Tramore also now boasts a superb inclusion park/playground adjacent to the promenade, with ample parking and a great spot for a picnic.
If the Sunny South East doesn’t live up to its reputation, there’s still plenty to do indoors.
For all the family there’s Splash-world with giant water slides and Jacuzzi.
There is also an Amusement Park covering over 20 hectares just opposite the promenade, which caters to all ages!
For young kids visit Run Amuck, All Aboard Play Park, Pottery Place, Laser Blast or Pirates Adventure.
Theatre and Cinema Events
The Theatre Royal - Waterford
A beautifully restored Victorian theatre with an interesting history hidden inside a Georgian building. Come here to enjoy an evening at Ireland's oldest theatre.
This year the Theatre Royal presents a wonderfully diverse programme of entertainment including Plays, Comedy, Cabaret, Music, and Musicals, an overall outstanding line up. You are guaranteed to find something to enjoy!

Located just a short walk from The Tower Hotel, the Odeon Cinema has 8 screen cinema.
