Surfing near Waterford

The Oceanics Surf School in Tramore is a family friendly school and caters for complete beginners to pros in the making. Perfect for a family day out, it is bound to create some fantastic memories.
There are also other surf schools available in the area, such as the Tramore surf school, T-Bay Surf and Freedom Surf School.
Tramore also now boasts a superb inclusion park/playground adjacent to the promenade, with ample parking and a great spot for a picnic.
If the Sunny South East doesn’t live up to its reputation, there’s still plenty to do indoors. For all the family there’s Splashworld with giant water slides and jacuzzi. There is also an amusement park covering over 20 hectares just opposite the promenade, which caters to all ages!

Go on an adventure on the Waterford Greenway and ride the 46km off-road route from Waterford City to Dungarvan!
The Waterford Greenway is the longest off-road walking and cycling route in Ireland. It stretches 46km from Waterford City to Dungarvan along the former Great Southern and Western Railway line. The route features eleven bridges, three viaducts and a 400-metre tunnel and takes in Waterford City, Mount Congreve, Kilmeaden, Kilmacthomas, Shanacool, Scartore and Dungarvan. Treacys Hotel will have you covered when it comes to renting or storing your bikes. You can either hire a bike nearby or store your own bikes in our secure bike room. Set off to discover the Greenway whenever you please and return for a delicious meal and a well-deserved rest.

The hotel swimming pool is available for children use during the hours of 8am to 7.30pm daily.
The Great Escape
The escape room is located in the heart of Waterford City and is easily accessible by foot, car and public transport. But what actually is The Great Escape? Following a briefing session, you will be locked into one of their themed rooms. You will have 60 minutes to explore the room for clues, keys, combinations and much more. You and your teammates (2-7) will have to pool resources to work out how to solve the riddle in order to get out of the room before the timer hits zero.

Waterford City has plenty of open spaces from the People’s Park in the centre of the City, to smaller parks scattered across the City which will be further enhanced by the opening of Waterford’s Nature Park creating one of the largest urban parklands in the country.
