Any visit to Waterford would not be complete without a visit to at least one of the many beaches scattered along the south coastline.

Tramore Beach

Situated just 10km south of Waterford City, this beach is the closest to Waterford.

The sandy beach in Tramore stretches for almost 5km along the south east coast of Ireland.

Loved for the beautiful clear water and the soft sand this beach is one of the top choices for anybody staying in Waterford.


lawlor beach

Lawlor's Beach

The beach is situated next to the fishing village Dunmore East, just 15km south of Waterford City.

With it's sandy beach and red sand stone cliffs the beach is a great place to visit.

There are also plenty other things to do in Dunmore including golfing, angling and a Adventure Center.

ardmore beach

Ardmore Beach

The over 2km long beach is located 80km west of Waterford City and features an caravan parking place right next to the beach.

While in Ardmore, a visit to the Round Tower is a must.



barrack street bay beach

Barrack Street Bay Beach

Located next to the small fishing village Passage East in County Waterford, the Barrack Street Bay Beach is a small beach with a lovely view of hook head.


Just 12km from Waterford this beach is a very good choice to visit!



woodstown beach


Woodstown Beach

One of Waterford’s favourite beaches with good night life, camping sites and beautiful wooded scenery, the Harristown passage tomb is also situated close by.


A great beach located close to to visit because of the shallow clean waters.
