Heated Swimming Pool and Thermal Area in Treacy’s Waterford

Our Waterford hotel includes a 20m, flat bottom, heated swimming pool the perfect environment to relax and unwind or swim a few lengths. At only 4ft (1.2m) deep even non-swimmers can enjoy our pool. Graduated steps offer ease of access and exit from the water. A unique feature, the steps make it easy for people recovering from injuries or the elderly to enjoy all our pool has to offer.

We have a large selection of exercise classes to choose from including Aqua Aerobics, Spin and Tone, Complete Core and more. Check out our timetable here. Our classes are FREE to residents but must be booked in advance.

Towels are provided for residents. Swim Hats are compulsory and cost €3. Small lockers are provided but residents are advised to leave all valuables in their room.

Main Gym at Treacy’s Waterford

The spacious gym at Spirit contains a large cardio area including 10 treadmills, 2 upright bikes a spin bike ,2 recumbent bikes with back support, 4 cross-trainers and 2 rowing machines and a stepper to give you many options for your workout.

Our in Waterford gym, programs are provided free of charge by our professional instructors. Whether your goal is weight loss, toning, improving health, recovering from injury, improving fitness or training for an event like a marathon or triathlon we can help to get you there. Our instructors will be on hand to provide any assistance you may need. The free weights area contains dumbbells up to 35kg and the Smyth rack and squat rack are available for those looking to lift a bit heavier!

Exercise Studio

Our exercise studio host the range of fitness classes we offer at Spirit. From Spin and Tone, intense HIIT Circuits, Circuit Training, Aqua Aerobics and more, we are sure to have a class to suit you. We offer many fitness classes in Waterford city.

When there are no classes taking place our studio provides an alternative space to workout away from the hustle and bustle of the main gym area. So whether for classes, your own workout or a gentle stretch in a quiet environment our studio can offer a space for you.
