Waterford Festival Season Part 2

Waterford Spraoi International Street Arts Festival

Is up next on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of August 2019 with an abundance of contemporary culture and entertainment transforming the streets of this beautiful, ancient city into a wonder of imagination and creativity. The highlight of the festival is the annual Spraoi Parade, where hundreds of locals parade through the city’s medieval streets at night, dressed in exotic costumes. The accompaniment of excellent floats, live music, lighting, and special effects make it a night to remember. This stunning spectacle concludes with fireworks launched from the River Suir which runs through the city.

Waterford Walls Festival 2019

Will transform this ancient city into an open-air Art Gallery, as 25 derelict sites become canvases for international and national street artists. A range of events will run over three days from 26th – 28th of August which will make this city a vibrant and cultural stage for visitors and locals to admire. There will also be workshops running for all ages by some of the artists themselves, as well as indoor and outdoor music taking place right across the city
