This ancient city, found in Ireland’s Ancient East, will take you on a journey through time to discover 5,000 years of history. Take a walk through the narrow streets and medieval walls in the famous Viking Triangle which consists of the Medieval Museum that holds the iconic Cloth of Gold Vestments, Reginald’s Tower where Anglo-Norman knight Strongbow met the Irish Princess Aoife, and finally the Georgian Christ Church Cathedral where Strongbow and Aoife famously married.
For a Fun Family Day Out, you and the little ones can also visit the Suir Valley Railway and meet the Easter Bunny at Kilmeadan Station on Easter Weekend. The Easter Bunny will meet and greet you at the station and even take a photo with you before waving you off on the train. The trains depart every hour but make sure to get there at least an hour early to get your tickets, as they do not take bookings in advance.
